Hey everybody. My family is looking into purchasing a Yorkshire Terrier or possibly a mix with 1/2 Yorkie within the next 4 months or so.
I have a few questions.
Our family has never had a dog before. Is the Yorkie an okay breed to start with?
I'm not a fan of the long hair.. but I love the puppies and they're appearance. Are there any dangers (would get cold easier, etc.) to keeping your dog at a puppy cut for it's whole life?
I read that they don't shed a lot. Is this true?
Any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. We're still looking into other breeds, but the Yorkie is certainly number one at the moment.
