A couple of years ago I found one by Alex's eye when we were on vacation up in northern WI. He cried and whimpered. I immediately called a local vet and they said there was nothing they could do. They did recommend putting (mind just went completely blank)...the tick and flee stuff on him
When we got home I took him to the vet and they said he should be fine and that there was once again nuthing they could do...hope this helps...I don't know if now a days they have more options or not...
