Glad I could forewarn you. That wasn't the only time I heard of it happening. Actually my MIL knew it was a hazard too and actually had her female cut back....only leaving the hair long on the chest/neck area. That is where the little pup went to snuggle and ended up dying. So very sad. I didn't get Tiah x-rayed, but gosh, she looks like she could have 6-7 pups. I was going to take her, but the x-rays are usually off....they usually say "we can see 3, but there could be more". Not very helpful when it is making sure there isn't a retained one that worries me so much. She is doing great or I would reconsider it. It will be Cowboy's first litter. I haven't had a litter in a year and a half and am soooo excited!!!
