Losing any pet is sad because it has made a special place in your heart and then that special little piece is broken off. You should never feel like a "freak" and no one who loves animals will think of you or anyone else that way for grieving the loss of a pet. I have cried over losing fish, mice, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs (we had one for about 11 years and he was grown when we got him), cats, dogs, racoons, birds, crabs, turtles, and other wild animals. If you love an animal enough to raise it and be responsible for it's life, then that creature deserves to be missed and grieved over. God will be watching over Noelle now. God Bless you Megan. |
Great post...
I'm so sorry for your loss Megan. I loved hamsters when I was younger (I had 6 of them!!!), so I understand how you're feeling. |
