OK I was in 3rd grade. and even though you might not think I would, I do remember 9/11 perfectly. I remember school had just started a few days earlier, so we were still getting used to everything. We all got settled in and a few minutes after the lesson started, my teacher got a call from the office on the classroom phone. of course we didn't think anything of it, they always get calls. She brought us over into the corner of the class room and she was reading to us. I remember that a lot of my friends were getting signed out. I was really confused as to why everyone was leaving, because noone told us what was going on. Every 2 minutes someone else went down to the office to get signed out. I remember we had gotten to the point that all of us kids were laughing everytime the phone rang, because what are the odds of everyone leaving at one time? I stayed for the whole day of school because my parents were at a funeral. They told me what had happened after we got home.
Even though I didn't really understand what was going on then, I knew that it was bad. everyone was really sad. but now I obviously understand and whenever someone talks about it I get really sad. The whole thing was just horrible....
