My friend went on vacation to Hawaii on the 31st through 9/11. She delivers newspapers in the morning and at the last minute her sub backed out, so I agreed to do it. She offered me $400 and I was under the impression she would pay me upon her return. Today she sends me a thank you thank you email and then goes on about how they get paid once a month and she hoped to pay me before her 10/6 profit check but she has some prearranged payments and it looks like she can pay me on the 25th. I think she means the 25th of October!!! I've emailed back for clarification and am still waiting to hear back.
I'm just stunned. What do I say or do? She obviously won't have the money to pay me sooner. I spent over $300 in gas alone..... little did I know I'd get such cruddy gas mileage. Plus my daughter and her friend helped, so I have to compensate them. I'm just tapped right now..... grrrrr
