I really feel for your situation - it really does sound like you've tried everything. How disappointing that the training sessions didn't work...
I really wish I had some advice to offer you but it really sounds as if you've tried everything.
Here are some links to sites I found on this topic - I'm sure you've already exhausted all these measures, but it's worth a shot...
http://www.usask.ca/wcvm/herdmed/app...s/anxiety.html http://www.wagntrain.com/SeparationAnx.htm - this article actually mentions about the dog sleeping with you, which I know you had mentioned in one of your previous posts as one of the trainer's recommendations - I guess the theory is that if the dog can survive sleeping without you during the night, that they are more likely to be able to survive the day without you as well.
http://www.hsus.org/pets/pet_care/ou...n_anxiety.html - this link has interesting information on leaving "safety cues" for your dog when you are leaving...

Maybe start from scratch again with the methods that the trainer recommended. I just hope you find a solution that works for you and Royce - I would really hate to hear that you've had to give him up. Good luck!
