Who knows why they do this! Maddie ate, what I think was raccoon poop once...then she rolled in it...I was so totally disgusted! After bathing her, I did a search on raccoon poop and it can carry a lot of disease, so I called my vet and he had Maddie take some wormers for certain things, just to be on the safe side. Maybe you should check with your vet.
My only advice would be to have him on a leash when he goes outside so you can quickly pull him away if he starts eating something. Hopefully he will grow out of it! Good luck! |
