It definitely doesn't look like poisonous hemlock. The foliage looks like a top of a carrot kinda of fern looking.
The mushroom with a lost top idea sounds on the right track, especially, if it appeared very suddenly. Mushrooms seem to come up overnight and the orangey colored ones are poisonous. |
