 Not drinking much water
Hi have a quick question. Since Babybear had his surgery for his broken neck he hasn't like to drink much. I have had to feed him out of a syringe. I have a very big one that the ER hospital gave me. But lately he has been trying to pull away from me when I try and give him some water. I have tried to offer him water in a bowl, but that is to hard for him to get to. I have tried to give him water from a straw. I have filled the straw and let it go in his mouth and he pulls away and lets it drip out of his mouth. He is peeing okay, and his coat feels fine. I am just wondering a way to get him to drink or take his water. My vet I don't trust told me to put some sugar in the water. Well I was kinda iffy on that because I don't want to rot his teeth. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
