I've also been having a little bit of trouble with Tito when I have to leave him alone. He starts crying when I put him in his crate and I usually ignore him. I haven't tried the spray bottle or the spoon yet.
The worst is when I have to leave him in the bathroom while I'm at work. He completely freaks out when I put him in there and starts scratching at the door like mad. It breaks my heart.
I'm actually kind of glad to hear that it's not just my dog that acts this way. He can't let me out of his sight for even a second and he is literally at my heels everywhere I go. I was getting a little nervous about this because I thought this behavior seemed a little extreme/neurotic...then again, I've only had him for 5 days.
Does this behavior usually cease after a period of time?
