Did you use a plain latex band to create the ponytail first before adding the bow to the hair? If you do that, you should only need to wrap the bow elastic around once or twice (depends on the amount of hair you pull up into the ponytail). If the bow is wrapped somewhat losely, you should be albe to grab the elastic and remove it quite easily. If you can't grasp one of the elastic loops with your fingers and start unwrapping it, you may just have to cut it off. If you grasp the hair close to the base of the head while you're pulling on the elastic it will stop the hair from pulling on her head so it won't hurt her.
I dont' know if this will help... I've never heard of any tricks to getting these suckers out. I use these cheap colored ouchless elastics from the dollar store and they actually will break when i pull them out at the end of the day so they come out easily. I would then put a bow over that elastic, tight enough to stay on, but not so tight that it has to hold the hair up. |
