I so agree. When they ripped up the carpet and I saw how dirty it was underneath, I swore I'd never put carpet in again. I do still have it in my bedrooms but since its just my husband and I, there is not a lot of traffic in the bedrooms. I know that a large part of the stuff under the carpet is where the pad breaks down because of the friction but you just know all that dirt & dust can't be good for our lungs. I even have hardwood in my kitchen and one of my bathrooms.
