I use Vellus products strictly now on my show coats. So far so good and I'm in love with the products. The Satin Cream used along with the Static Stabilizer will grow coat; atleast it does at my house, lol.
I tried a Cowboy Magic Detangle and Shine on one of mine and I had a heck of a time getting the product out of the coat. It left an oily residue that took me a week to get out. Thank goodness I didn't use it on my girls who are showing. I used my boy as a guniea pig, lol. |
In total agreement with feeding the coat from the inside out. Nutrition is priority in having a healthy coat.
I've never used any of the products you used. But, there is one peice of advise that was passed onto me by a hairdresser and I've latched onto it. When working with greasy and oily products and you want to make sure you get everything out without damaging your hair, in this case coat. Add baking powder to your shampoo. It's the one of the most natural was of clarifying a coat. My Go-Go had an ear infection and I was treating with Otomax (greasy) and was do to show her and tried her recommendation......got all the oilyness out......
