It mostly depends on whether it's real hardwood or laminate. You have to remember that dog urine is an oily substance. If it's real hardwood and has a good polyurethane coating, getting it up in a timely manner is best. The laminate is less likely to soak it up. And yes, I agree, I'd rather they have an accident on the wood than on the carpet. Just make sure you don't use a harsh chemical to clean it up. Windex has always been my favorite because it cuts the oil in the urine, the ammonia content removes the scent, and it doesn't leave a filmy residue to attract dirt. |
