Gus is almost 10 weeks and he has a very short, thick coat on his back. His head, legs and belly have long silky hair and he seems to growing longer, wispy hair over the short coat. Is this normal? I thought yorkies had only a single coat.
He is registered and I saw his mother and father and they both had very nice, long hair. Will his grow in? I am a little concerned b/c he doesn't look like the typical, fluff ball yorkie pup.
Not that it *really* matters, I would love him if he went bald!

He's still a puppy and will go through many changes as he matures. Don't worry about it. They are different, the ones that don't look, as you say the typical fluff ball,
most of the time have wonderful silk coats.
