Ok Peeka is 17 weeks(4months) and i have kept him away from other dogs because i wanted to wait to get all his shots done well this wasn't the best plan obviously because now he is very skiddish around dogs and people i take him everywhere with me and today i took him to my son's 1st grade class for show and tale well he is so scared of people he just shakes uncontrollably in my arms. I handed him to my son and he told the class about him then he went around and let all the kids one at a time pet him(i thought this would be good for socialization) but when i left he was still shaking. After that i went to petsmart to get some treats and food and the min i walked in the door he started shaking again. There were these two little girls who wanted to pet him so i bent down and let them and i though he was going to have a heart attack! After i got what i needed i went to the check out and the cashier tried to give him a treat and he would not even look at her he buried his head in my arms he wouldn't even take the treat from me. He was fine after i walked outside.Tonight we decided to let our black lab and Peeka meet again this is the 3rd time they have met outside of the fenced yard my lab stays in the back yard behind a fence well the first 2 meetings were ok Peeka was really scared but he was ok with it well tonight my lab was a little excited and rushed up behind me and got at Peeka i instantly grabbed him but he kinda pinned him on the ground for a sec he was only playing but Peeka yelped for a split second and i freaked. Now Peeka is even more scared of him and i know he didn't hurt him but i need help!! How do i socialize him do i hold him there shaking and freaking out or do i pick him up comfort him and walk away? I don't know what to do guys i want him to love people and other animals but he is so scared!! Please help!!
