I have an 9 month old female and I was in your shoes just about a month ago. I had been wanting a male playmate and I came across my Mozes that way--the classifieds. He just turned 3. I brought him home on Aug 12th. I had a stressful week or two due to some husband issues
but everything is resolved and Mayzie and Mo get along great. It just seemed like they always were together. Mayzie can get a little overbearing with him at times but they do enjoy each other's company. I was afraid of "wrecking" a good thing too but believe it or not I was going to post tonight about how much I love having 2 of these wonderful furbabies.
Here's a picture I took today. Please pardon our appearance though. Mo was just neutered a week ago and so we haven't bathed in a while and Mayzie just won't leave her top knot in (grrrrr)
