Ok, so I know this has been discussed many times, but when I went back through old threads, I just cannot seem to find out exactly how you make moving avatars?

What software do you use? Is there a website for a free download of the software? I've heard several things mentioned...PaintShop Pro, Adobe Photo, ect. ect. But which one is it? How do you get the 3D text on there? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am a picture-taking fool and I always want to update my avatar, but I feel bad bugging someone else to do it for me. I really want to learn how to do it myself.

Any help?
