I didn't want to do it either but my vet said in 16 years he had never seen a reaction to the lepto shot but he had seen many dogs die from leptospirosis. So I let him give her the shot & we did not have any problems, but I'm thinking I heard someone say, it doesn't usually come with the first exposure to the vaccine but the second. I don't know if that is true or not.
