Default Cut to the quick

I have done that on occasion. It looks like a lot of blood, but your dog will not bleed to death. With one dog I left it powdered, covered it with cotton and a sock over that. Then, with masking tape or electrical tape, wrap it so that the sock stays in place. Just be careful not to tape it too tightly-best to use a figure 8 wrapping. Some dogs will attempt to chew it off, but a well-behaved one can be told "No". The last time, I left the sock overnight-by morning it was great.

ps; I use flour, talcum powder-whatever is handy!
