I have a 13 year old that has had siezures off and on since he was about 5. At first I thought it stress of stressful situations brought on the siezures and let me tell you I did everything you can think of to prevent Cid from ever being stressed. I even have a groomer who comes to MY house for grooming rather than leave him someplace for a few hours. Anyway, the vet told me its like there are snypses that are mis-firing in the brain. I am sure I am not explaining it correctly but basically its like things are not making a solid connection and when this happens, just try to be calm as possible so they will come out of it. If the siezures are really really bad then you will need to controll it with medication. So far I have not started meds because Cid doesnt have them often, just every now and then and for no reason at all. He has had them in the middle of the night when sleeping. |
