That didn't even occur to me, since I have a dog with a floppy ear myself  , and I haven't taped or done any of those "extreme measures" b/c I couldn't case LESS what her ears do! I think it's cute either way!
Maybe it was my pet peeve about ungroomed ears that offended you, and if so, I've just made it worse by mentioning it on this thread AGAIN!  If so, I apologize!

I prefer tipped shaved ears also - but hair on the ears can make a yorkie look like a little Butterfly Head (cute) ......it IS all in our preferences
