Groomiong Aggression? Who groomed the dog before you acquired him? Is it possible that groomer was rough, and created Boon's problems? Perhaps you should groom him yourself, a little each day, to teach him his manners, or to teach him that it is not necessary to be hurt when groomed. If he is aggressive, you can muzzle with a small muzzle, or even a figure eight using a nylon, just enough to keep him from snapping. Then, re-train him for grooming. Once he realizes he cannot get away with snapping, and that grooming does NOT hurt, he will begin to improve. If he is nasty simply because he wants to be, then the muzzle and gentle discipline should help. |
