Oh, I agree! Not to totally go off on another tangent, but I sometimes post things on the topic of breeding....I'm not a breeder, but I do think that a certain observance of the breed standard and ideal should be the goal...
....HOWEVER....
That's just me speaking in terms of OPINION. My own personal preference actually varies a great deal from my idealistic opinion, if that makes any sense!!!
Because some of my FAVORITE dogs here are the ones that don't necessarily meet the breed standard! I'm a sucker for the big, lanky ones, with short hair and floppy ears! I just think they look like such FUN dogs! And honestly, I rarely see a pic of a showdog with the looooong showhair that I think is as cute as, for instance, someone's sweet pet in their summer puppy cut!
So it's all good! All a part of the yorkie world, as broad and varied as it is....I'm just glad that we can all meet together here in unity, and respect each other!
I always think that, beyond the externals, it the love for that YORKIE SPIRIT that unites us!
