Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I have a question about spaying my female yorkie.

I just got her about 3 weeks ago and she is 8 months old. I need to get her spayed but I was wondering if I should give her a little more time to adjust to her new home before I do so? Also I do not want to wait too long. She has not had a heat yet and I would rather not have to deal with that especially since I have a male Yorkie too even though he is neutered. About what age will she do this if any one knows? She is 8 months old now and weights 3 pounds if that. Thanks guys!
