I made the mistake of not really socializing my dogs in the past. We live in a small rural town and when we went out with them it was always to an open field and never really had them around people or other dogs, only people who came to our home. When they did encounter other people they went NUTS!! And other dogs...forget about it!!
Now that we have our yorkies, they go EVERYWHERE with us, everyone pets them, they meet lots of doggies at the pet stores and dog parks and are VERY socialized...I would never do that to myself or a dog again!!
