When I approached my vet she put some kind of yellow fluid into Simba's eyes (it obviously didn't hurt) and she said if we can see it coming out of the nose it means that they tear ducts aren't clogged. It didn't but when she performed the neuter it turned out that his tear ducts were so small (he was six month old) that she didn't attempt to unclog them. I may have it done when he has his teeth cleaned. |
My vet did inform me of this, but told me it's a cosmetic thing, not required to have surgery for. If it causes additional problems, then it does. I'm just looking for some sort of way to prevent it w/o being invasive.
