Sophie has seasonal allergies and she scratches under her chin and around her nose. My vet recommended taking a damp cloth and wiping her off after being outside. He also told me I could give her Benadryl. The Benadryl has really helped. She hasn't had to have an allergy shot this year. If he continues to itch I would call my vet and see what they tell you. Please ask your vet before giving Benadryl. Each case is different.
