I am very guilty of this. I live on the side of a mountain and on the way down the mountain Diesel loves hanging his head out of the window.Of course we are going very fast and he isn't hanging all the nway out. He likes to just stick his face in the wind. I am holding onto his harness the entire time. As long as we aren't going very fast I let him do it. As for dogs riding on the back of trucks well we can't let our shepherd ride in the front. He is just way to big for that. I will sit back there and hold him when we do it but sometimes it has to be done. If we are taking him to the creek to play( a HUGE creek) he can't ride in the front.I think if you are responsible about it all there isn't anything wrong with it.
