You are correct. They did carefully inbreed, then line breed to get to this point.The original parents were registered with the VDH which is Germany's equivelent to our AKC. The VDH is very strick, they will not register a black and gold Yorkir OR a Tri Color. That is why the original breeders Mr and Mrs Biewer went a step further to develop a standard for this new breed. Although it's been 21 yrs we must be very careful and examine pedigrees when breeding.

I am still in the learning process but all the knowlege I have about Biewers is directly from a dear friend of mine in Germany who is also a breeder. I can't take the credit!! I am just sharing with you what she has taught me thus far.
