Clear roll-on deodorant! Works extremely well and lasts longer than commercial sprays.
As Erin said, make sure puppy gets lots of exercise and is safely contained when you can't watch him. Also important: be sure pup has plenty of appropriate items to chew on. Redirect to a bone or chew toy when he is chewing on something he shouldn't. And, most important, be sure to praise heavily when he is chewing on an appropriate item. He's not being bad and he's not rebelling. This is normal behavior.
