Rose AKC Registered Tri Color Yorkies..

To answer your question, if a Tri Color puppy is born from 2 blue and gold AKC registered parents you CAN register the puppy as a Tri-Color Yorkie. You have to call AKC for the special color code. I believe they also require photos as well.
I've done some extensive research about Biewers and Tri Color Yorkies. Believe it or not there is a difference. Tri Yorkies are just that, 3 colored Yorkie white blue and gold the coloring can be in any pattern. The Biewer is also a Tri-Colored however, the Biewer has a standard they must be specifically marked and when you breed 2 Biewers you will get the same specified markings...you can read the the Biewer Standard on my website in the 'Biewer Gals' page. There is still much controversy about the breed but that's with any new breed. I support them 100%, I do not believe in breeding them to blue/gold Yorkies or Tri Colored Yorkies..but that's just my opinion. I am trying to keep them as true as possible going as far to register litters with the same German Registration the parents are registered with. I am not saying the only way I do it is right. But that's the way that makes the most sense to me.
I don't know if the AKC will ever recognize them. I can only hope. I feel it is important for those of us that want to bring this beautiful breed to make others aware of Biewers as a separate breed. I am doing my small part by training them for Agility and then competing in Agility Trials. Although they won't win titles through AKC trials, they have many other Trials we can compete in!
Sorry to ramble, but this is my opinion on Biewers.

Hugs,
Irene
