After a long seven months of struggling with allergies and skin infections, we may have found at least one of the culprits... I think Trixie may be allergic to potato. Her last vet diet was R/C duck and potato, and despite the medication (antihistamines and steroids), she was extremely itchy and started to have welts like acne on her belly. So against vet advice of keeping her on the food for at least 3 months, I switched her to Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potato (thanks VHESKETT!!!), it's been a few days and I have noticed the itchyness has dramatically decreased. I haven't seen her bite her paws AT ALL. I'm hoping her belly will clear up soon!

Is anybody else's dog allergic to potatoes???
