I've seen people use a colored yarn around the tail or neck. I've known people to use a dot of polish. We got lucky...2 boys, 2 girls. One girl had pink on her nose, one didn't. One male was EXTREMELY fat the other was the smallest. They all looked very different....to me anyway.
