I understand, but the shelf life is only 14 days.........and also how much would you know to adminster without consulting a vet? (I doubt anyone has the medication in powder form.....the pharmacy hands it to you already reconstituted).

Even if you were to get it unreconstituted it's not a good idea. I'm a nurse, that is the only reason why I offer advice. If you over medicate it is not a good thing right? But if you undermedicate you could make things worse. Some bacteria can become resistant to the med and make things worse. That is why you MUST finish all the medication prescribed or atleast take it for the number of days the vet or dr. prescribes it for. Also, you cannot give this med if you are unsure if it is a bacterial or viral infection (for what you need a vet).

All I am doing is offering friendly advice.
