Oh guys... I don't even know where to begin...
Its very late... or early, depending on how you look at it....
I just got home, cried my eyes out while Brian, my amazing husband held me.... I did not cry once at the hospital....
Cameron, thats my Aunts name... Had an amniotic embolism, which caused her to seize... They did not know the cause at the time... Just knew she was crashing, not breathing, and baby was in danger.... They rushed her in for an emg c section...
Long story short, mainly cause I don't think I can do all of the details right now.... She is in ICU almost 8 hours later after 61/2 hours in surgery, they could not get her bleeding to stop, they have been pumping blood products in her like mad, and she is extremely unstable... Her lungs have shut down and are damaged, her kidney's are toast.... They believe her brain is very damaged... She is not sedated but in a coma.. She is not expected to recover from her injuries.
God, I can't believe I just typed that! we gathered all of the family to see her tonight.... the Trauma surgeon said that it would be a good idea... so everyone at least has seen her...
This was not supposed to happen like this! She was supposed to deliver and be fine! The baby is amazing! Healthy as can be! She should be too! I just don't understand! I really never even considered that this could happen.... Who would have thought??? She was so flippen healthy... its just not fair! She does this great thing... And loses her life in the process??? I don't get it??? I can't get it! There is nothing to get in that! It makes no sense at all!!!!!
Anyway.... I will be going back in the am to see the adoptive parents and ofcorse, I hope, see Cameron! God, I better see her!!!
I took something to help me sleep, so hopefully I'll be out soon... I hope! Sorry If I don't return PM's I'm not going to be around much for the next couple of days I'm guessing... I'll check in when I can....
