I just had Mo my newest 3 yo addition neutered. He was great at lifting his leg and marking his "territory" inside and out. A few weeks before I had him neutered I always wore a belly band on him in the house. I would take it off at night and of course whenever I took him outside. His appt was this past thursday and I haven't wanted to put a band on him because I didn't want to rub his sore area. He has not lifted his leg one time to mark in the house since then but he will still do it outside--so I know it doesn't hurt to do it. I am hoping that perhaps he has learned not to do it in the house from wearing bands. We will see. He doesn't seem to mind the bands though because as soon as we come in from outside he "squats" for me to put on his band--which cracks me up because he is the tiniest thing I have ever seen and the squat is not necessary. lol So, time will tell. He doesn't seem to stink as much--I'm glad I did it.
