I would have the skin test done. I would also now start your yorkie on Omega3 fatty acids because it helps to decrease the skin's sensitivity to allergens. Just put it on the food. It takes about 30 to 45 days to start working. They can also do a steroid shot to alleviate the itch, but this is not something you want to do on a longterm basis.
