I put Gracie on the kitchen or bathroom counter to do it. For some reason, she is afraid of heights and will hold very still for anything while she is there. I first use the rubber band/elastic to hold the hair. Then I attach the bow or barrette. She will leave her hair alone long enough to go to town or for a walk. If I let her sleep in it, it's history!
