How old is your Yorkie? Jo got sick at first but now he's almost 6 months old and he's doing much better. Our vet gave us the dosage for (liquid) Children's Benadryl, he said it takes the edge off. Of course you'll want to keep fresh water on hand and sometimes they ride better on an empty stomach or an hour or two after a light meal. My vet said to give a light meal a while before our trip and feed him again after the trip and keep some baby food on hand in case he won't eat, he said that was more complete nutrition than Nutrical without the ups and downs in their sugar levels. He also thought sometimes they ride better being on your lap or the seat rather than in a crate. I always keep Jo on his blanket on my lap with his Nylabone but sometimes he wants me to hold him and he falls asleep on my shoulder. I know that's not the safest way for him to ride and I'd love to have his own car seat but we have a 2 seater car and there's nowhere to put one.
