I named Oscar after my poppa - just thought it was a cute name and the first that came to me when I saw him - he had a white head just like my poppa did, lol.
I had the name Dottie (my grandma's name) picked out before I got Ruthie, but when I found out that she had been born on my mother's birthday I changed the name to Baby Ruth. This way I would call her either Baby or Ruthie (Ruthie seems to have stuck though). Baby from dirty dancing, and Ruth after my mom - so it's a combo name. Everyone turns up their nose when they hear my dog's names, but they fit them...they really do. |
