The yorkie's I saw at the show last year had nails about the same as my pet yorkies and I can hear them click at times on the floor. Should they have been shorter or is it not as huge an issue as it was with poodles and their viewable nails?
Do you use a grinder ( I would be leary cause of the hair!) or regular nail scissors and a file? Is there a trade secret with the show yorkies?
No criteria as to the length of yorkies. They shouldn't be visable under their foot coat. However, they shouldn't click. I try and get mine very short as to not hinder their gait. I do grind mine.
