I don't remember exactly but it was a few months because I was giving up & complaining that I guess she was one of the few that would limp forever but I also remember my vet saying that they get used to limping and that was true as she would limp in the house but when we took her out in our backyard she would start to run & forget herself. We noticed a big improvement after we started walking her every night. At first she would walk and then start limping so we would carry her but now after a few months she never has to be carried. Tia was about a year old when she had surgery so if I had to guess its been around 5-6 months to heal completely. As a matter of fact we think the vet forgot one of the stitches in her hip. Did they cut your baby on the outside of the leg? Thats how Tia was done.
