There is absolutely nothing wrong with feeding canned food - ESPECIALLY if the alternative means not eating anythign at all!
It's perfectly fine to feed a mixture of kibble and canned food. Kibble helps to keep their teeth clean and strong - if you were to feed strictly a diet of soft food, their teeth wouldn't be getting the workout that they needed which can result in the loss of teeth at an early age. If you are able to get your puppy to eat the kibble when it is mixed with a little canned food and some water, then continue to do that - eventually you may be able to wean him off the canned and go back to just dry food. |
