I so hear ya on this one!! We have 3 year old female Boykin Spaniel, and our two lil ones but we do our part in keeping them safe from an "accident". If only our neighbours had the sense to keep their dogs safe from harm. We CONSTANTLY have dogs at our house, a shih tzu, husky, mutt, and a yellow lab are here daily. Not only isnt it safe for them but its not fair to us. I have called the athorities many times and a few dogs have been removed only to be back on the streets a few days later. Its like no one gives a crap about these dogs and Id keep them all here and safe if it were possible. I see and hear cars screech to a halt and avoid hitting these dogs by a hair. Some people just SHOULD NOT own a dog??!! I live in a town of 900 so I know these dogs "personally" I have seen most of them from puppy stage, where they were loved and walked and doted on, to adult dogs that just dont have an owner that really cares anymore...so sad and frustrating...

P.S. Just wanted to add that I HATE seeing dogs tied up in the same spot 24/7..my hubby and I feed a certain one when we can as he is skinny and so sad...yesterday the "owner" gave us a dirty look when we took over some milkbones to the poor guy..and the athorities do nothing!!!!!!!!! Sorry had to vent..
