My vet weighed Gracie and did a complete physical exam. She checked Gracie's knees and hips. She watched how Gracie interacted, to make sure she was bright and energetic, rather than lethargic. She did a fecal test to look for worms (there were none). That was pretty much it. We chatted for quite some time about feeding, hypoglycemia, shots, spaying, and how much exposure she could have to the outside world. This first visit is as much for you as it is for your baby.
