Omg Ferdinand ate some chocolate

I recently moved and was unpacking the final box which had some small (about 3/4 of an inch long each) chocolate in it. I took it them out and set them on the floor next to me. The next thing I know I look over and Ferdinand had eaten about 3/4 of one of the candy-coated chocolate eggs. Being that I'm a new puppy mama, I freaked out. I immediately went online to find out how much it takes to be harmful so I knew whether or not to take him to the vet. Here's the link to the article that I used http://www.finedarkchocolate.com/Cho..._Chocolate.asp

Ferdinand only weighs 2.0 pounds right now, so I figured about an ounce would be harmful. Just to be on the safe side I gave him some hydrogen peroxide and water mixed to induce vomitting like the article advises. Boy it hardly takes any of that mixture and a couple minutes later out came everything. He's pretty wiped out now, so I'm just going to let him sleep on my lap and wake him up every couple of minutes to make certain he's still okay and monitor him to make sure he doesn't show any signs of toxicity.

I've been trying to give him water and food so he doesn't get dehydrated and his glucose levels don't drop, but I don't think he trusts me after giving him that mixture and making him puke.

Poor little guy.... man, what a scare!!!
