No, it should not be an all day thing. After the first pup is delivered, the others should come about a half hour apart. Of course it doesn't always go that way. Make sure she doesn't have a discharge that has a terrible smell (if so, get her to the vet ASAP). Also make sure Mamma doesn't get too tired to push. If it is taking too long between pups, take her out for a brisk walk. Keep her in a dimly lit quiet room and don't panic around her no matter what happens. Please update! Hope all goes well with pups and Mamma.
