I once heard a doctor say that the body is actually set up so that detoxing is not necessary. That if you eat right and drink a lot of water, that the body “detoxifies” naturally. I don’t know about you guys but 9 days without any food sounds so extreme. I can understand going through periods of eating only fruits, veggies and lean dairy and meats just to get back on track (or some variation on healthy eating), but I would run that lemonade diet past my doc before I actually did it. I’m no expert, but it sounds like it would do more harm than good. But on the other hand I’ve heard that some cultures and religions value fasting as a spiritual cleanse as well so….happy cleansing!
